Spring Workshop
Date: May 7-8 (Saturday – Sunday)
Type: Field workshop
Level: Advanced beginner and up (using a DSLR)
Limit: 8 people
Cost: $350 (Deposit to confirm $100)
Location: Greater NY/NJ/CT area, in suitable locations (will be finalized based on conditions)
Description: Learn techniques and the art of composition during the spring bloom season in some of the most beautiful locations in the greater NYC area. You need to have a DSLR for this workshop. We will learn how to find and shoot wildflowers, waterfalls and rivers and capture the lush green of spring. This is a 2-day intense field workshop. We will meet at some previously finalized locations early in the morning, learn and shoot all day and will try to capture some of the magic light in the evening.
Summer Digital Nature and Travel Photography Bootcamp
Date: June 18 and/or June 25
Type: Classroom format
Level: Beginner and Beginner +
Cost: $99 (Deposit to confirm $50)
Location: Greater NY/NJ/CT area, in a conference room facility
Description: This is a full day of classroom training to get you up to speed with Digital techniques necessary for nature and travel photography. We will cover equipments, basic and intermediate camera techniques, composition, exposure, other creative techniques and then, move on to discuss how to post process images in Lightroom and Photoshop. This will be a great day to learn end-to-end photography techniques and jumpstart your creative potential.
Autumn Workshops (Two dates)
Date: Oct 1-2 and Oct 22-23 (Saturday – Sunday)
Type: Field workshop
Level: Advanced beginner and up (using a DSLR)
Limit: 8 people
Cost: $350 (Deposit to confirm $100)
Location: Greater NY/NJ/CT area, in suitable locations (will be finalized based on conditions)
Description: Autumn is a special season in our area. As the fall foliage begins to turn the landscapes into something extra ordinary, we will explore the intricacies of creating really powerful, unique and evocative autumn photography in some of most incredibly beautiful locations in our area. The locations will be finalized at a later date based on the condition of the color change. This will be a very productive workshop as you will learn to create wide angle, macro, intimate and more creative styles to unlock your artistic side.
Custom Workshop
I offer custom-tailored workshop in NY-NJ-CT tri-state area. The workshops can be half day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) depending on what are the students' needs and subjects to be covered. Please contact me at arnabbaner@gmail.com for availability and pricing.
The lower Hudson valley along with the surrounding areas (Catskills, NJ highlands, Berkshire and Western Connecticut) offer many exceptional photo opportunities. We can pick location(s) based on your prefernce and topics to be covered. An SLR camera is a must to get the most out of the workshop. I offer workshops for students at various levels - from beginner to intermediate. I generally limit the attendance to 3 persons max.

Exposure blending for dynamic range (HDR) and focus-stacking
